As a member of the Board of Directors, worked with members, staff and administrators to develop and help execute the Society’s Strategic Plan and Technology Plan.

District Governor

Rotary is a 1.2 million worldwide service organization that is divided into 550 Districts. As District Governor, I was responsible for building relationships and working with civic and community leaders in 45 cities and towns in Northeast Massachusetts to launch and drive local and international service projects.

  • Launched the first United States program of Concentrate Language Encounter, a pioneering method used by Rotary around the world to improve literacy.
  • Launched and successfully funded a collaborative project to provide safe, clean drinking water to 1400 families in Honduras.
  • Raised over $47,000 that was provided to fellow Rotarians in Louisiana and Mississippi to help rebuild homes lost to Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
  • Combined, the 48 clubs performed over 400 service projects and contributed over $1 million to deserving people and organizations in their communities.

Alumni Executive Board
Founder – Alumni Services Committee

Work closely with college faculty and staff to identify programs that will build and grow the college’s alumni community. Created the highly successful Alumni Network Exchange Series, where college alumni can meet, share information and ideas and hear presentations from the college faculty and alumni on pertinent business issues.

Work with the Center’s staff, administrators and external constituencies to develop and execute technology and distance learning strategy for this leader in the rehabilitation of the vision impaired. Currently, the Carroll Center is one of the recognized leaders in providing technology enabled learning to blind and vision impaired students throughout the world.

Work closely with municipal and school officials to identify needs and then develop, update and execute short and long range technology strategic plans. Directed spending priorities for a $6 million technology grant provided to the town by Sun Microsystems
